How much dirt does it take to build up the footprint of the new 22,500 square foot Cathedral?
Merit Construction began hauling 16,500 yards of fill from the demolition site the week of October 19, 2015 to bring up the pad of the new cruciform church. Over 100 piers will be drilled into the rock beginning the week of October 26 as the beautiful new Cathedral starts to rise in East Tennessee for the Diocese of Knoxville.
