Each year the PCCW honors one woman of the parish with the Our Lady of Fatima award.  The award is given to a woman who:

  • Has provided dedicated service to Sacred Heart for 10 or more years
  • Actively supports Sacred Heart ministries, programs and activities
  • Demonstrates commitment to serving God through their daily living of the gospel message

This year’s recipient is Shirley Nicholson

Shirley has been a faithful, active member of Sacred Heart parish for more than 60 years.  She served many years taking communion to the homebound, leading rosary groups and is a long time supporter of the Ladies of Charity and our sister parish in Haiti.  She is known as a talented storyteller and served the mentally disabled at Lakeshore and the children of SHCS through storytelling.  She volunteered as the school librarian and the organist at the 9:00 a.m. Sunday Mass for many years. She is still actively involved in the St. Michael’s Guild. Thank you, Shirley, for the countless hours you spent over many decades serving the needs of Sacred Heart Parish.
