Join us for the 2016 Pasta and Bluegrass Festival (formerly known as the Pasta Cookoff) on Saturday, August 20th from 5:00-7:30pm at Central Baptist Bearden, 6300 Deane Hill Drive. Pasta & Bluegrass is a fun family festival with 16 competitive pasta tastings, including gluten free, vegetarian and vegan offerings, plus live bluegrass music and a kid’s carnival! Adults $10 and children $5. All proceeds benefit Family Promise of Knoxville, a community ministry of Sacred Heart Cathedral.
Family Promise is the only family shelter for the homeless in Knoxville. This year alone, Family Promise has sheltered 16 families, including 33 children. Family Promise also provides education and help in finding sustainable housing, and mentoring which vastly increases the opportunity of long-term success for these families.
Tickets are available at FamilyPromiseKnox.org and at the door. Looking forward to seeing you there!
Is this the Pasta Cook-off Event I have known for 10 years and was previously held at Sacred Heart and First Farragut UMC?
Yes, it is. We have grown and changed so we feel “Pasta and Bluegrass Festival” is more descriptive of all the fun you will have.
What are my parking options getting to the event?
Please enter the parking lot from the back of the Church by turning from Kingston Pike on S. Weisgarber (@ Rose Mortuary and then right onto Anderson Lane (small road running behind Central Baptist). Handicapped parking is available by turning from Deane Hill into the Church parking Henry Chiles St.
Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?
Please check us out on line at www.familypromiseknox.org or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Phone 865-584-2822.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
It surely would make the line shorter! But, if you forget we will have a list.
The name on the registration/ticket doesn’t match the attendee. Is that okay?
No problem – completely transferable but not refundable.
