From time to time, as you walk the hallways at Sacred Heart Cathedral School, an aroma fills the air. The fragrant, sweet smell of flowers of all different species of flowers awakes the senses and instantly creates a sense of joy and happiness with each breath. It is in a small room just off the commons where these smells permeate from.
Approximately 75 times a year, the Flower Guild, which has 25-30 regular members, help create floral bouquets for a variety of occasions such as Easter, weddings, and Christmas. They spend several hours making sure each flower pruned and placed in just the right arrangement that is just as stimulating visually as the scent of each petal is.
There are so many different ways to participate in the creation of beauty for the Cathedral. If you are interested in being a part of the Flower Guild, they would love to have you!
